Introduction to using Charcoal & Soft Pastel

With a stunning variety of colours in Gill's collection, soft pastel was an exciting and immediate medium to explore. Charcoal brings immediacy and contrast. In this session, we got to know the feel of soft pastels & charcoal by playing in a variety of ways to produce visual texture.

There was something in the way Gill lead us that meant I got to dispell my feeling that pastels were messy and out of control, lol!
